Shannon & Rob | Wedding | Whistler Conference Centre

The first thing Shannon told me was that they were not planning a traditional wedding!  Ok…so what does that mean?

To start with, Shannon’s wedding dress was the most incredible shade of…pink – yes, pink!  Then there was a dueling pianos act to keep their guests entertained during the reception – Jeff and Rhiannon of Noteworthy Productions kept the crowd on their feet dancing and singing all night.  And to surprise their guests, Shannon and Rob re-enacted the final dance scene in “Dirty Dancing”.  All I can say is they were fabulous!  And to top it off, we set up our first ever “Photo Booth” to capture all the silliness.

After the ceremony, the couple planned a horse-drawn sleigh ride and then we headed into the village for a fashion-inspired photo shoot.

The Telus Whistler Conference Centre was transformed into a winter wonderland and the three-sided fireplace was a beautiful backdrop for both the ceremony and the reception.

I know their guests will be talking about the wedding for a very long time!

Gillian & Richard | Wedding | Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Only a couple days after the engagement session, and we were back in Whistler for their winter wedding.  Only this time, it was a beautiful sunny day!

An amazing team of people, lead by Roxanne Cave of Celebrate Events, came together to elegantly transform the restaurant.  Family and friends travelled from all over North America to witness the joining of this very special couple for a candlelit ceremony and reception.  The river rock fireplace in the Wine Room was the perfect backdrop for the intimate ceremony and I don’t think I have ever seen the Wildflower Restaurant look as magical as it did that day!

Maternity Album

We captured these images in the fall and I have finally had a chance to design an album from the three sessions.  The first session was down at the Squamish estuary – the long grass and scenery make it a beautiful spot for photos.  The second session was in the client’s living room – a huge north facing window with sheer white curtains made for the perfect backdrop.  The last session was mostly done up at Quest University to take advantage of the red maples that line the street and then we ventured off into the surrounding forest.

Below is the album cover and some of the album spreads (a full 10×20″ when open).  To see the full album, go to our Facebook Page.

Beautiful Mom-to-be!

We had so much fun with Crystal at this maternity session – this is one hot mama!  Her home had some beautiful natural light to play with which we supplemented with our portable studio light kit.  I still can’t decide if I like the images in colour or black & white better!
